1. Tell us what you need

Fill out the quote form with the wording, a rough size, and where the sign is going. A photo of the location helps more than you'd think.

If there's a logo, a seal or crest, or any artwork you want on the sign, send that along too. An art file from whoever made it is ideal. If you don't have one, a clean scan or a photo off a letterhead is plenty to get us started.

Tell us anything you already have in mind about how it ought to look. If you don't know yet, that's fine. Working that part out is our end of it.

2. We design it, free

You get a real design of your actual sign before you spend anything. Not a template with your name dropped into it. An actual drawing of what we'd build for you, at no cost and no obligation.

3. You approve and we schedule

Once you approve the design and the quote, we take 50% down and put you on the build schedule. The balance is due on delivery.

For cities, school districts, and other public bodies, we work with your purchase order process. Tell us what your procurement people need and we'll get it to them.

4. We build it

Solid cedar. Cut, routed, and painted by hand in Des Moines. Every sign is built one at a time, so we'll give you a firm delivery date along with your quote rather than a guess up front.

5. We deliver it

We deliver within about 250 miles of Des Moines. That covers all of Iowa and reaches into Nebraska, Minnesota, Missouri, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Illinois.

We bring the finished sign and posts out on a pickup and drop them off with mounting instructions. Standard delivery requires you to provide capable workers and any equipment needed to unload the sign. If that is not available, tell us beforehand so we can discuss a different delivery and handling arrangement and rate.

SignDesign builds and delivers the sign. We do not install it. You or your contractor handle site preparation, permits, inspections, insurance, utility locating and Call Before You Dig requirements, foundations, mounting, and installation.
